Saturday Morning Party

As I mentioned before, it's easy to feel as though you're on a bit of house arrest when you have a little bambino in the house. Especially in the summer when all your friends are gallivanting off to the lake each weekend (or at least that's what you tell yourself).

When Aaron and I realized we hadn't seen some of our friends all summer, we decided to throw a little party to remedy it.  Best thing about it....it was in the morning.

The get-together was in early August. Bagels and coffee for the adults (who actually weren't gallivanting off to the lake). And Graham's "big boy" toys for the kiddos.

It was fun to watch Graham watch the big kids. You could tell he couldn't wait to be able to play and move like them.

And it was such a comfortable day, we headed outside for some fun in the sun (actually the shade, but shade doesn't rhyme with fun). Graham had a good time checking out grass for the first time.

Is it obvious that daddy dressed Graham for the day? Yellow shirt and plaid shorts were the clear choice for the Hill boys.

Almost as snazzy as Graham's and my matching navy and gray stripes from a few months ago.

Anyway, a couple hours in and nap time called so Graham said goodbye to his friends.

Trend setters that we are (see above fashion notes), we think we might have really started something with morning get-togethers. 8:30 bedtime? Absolutely no problem when the party's at 10 a.m.
